Director

This position is an integral element of the Cambridge, Massachusetts professional staff, responsible for project management, client interface, and hands-on development and production of finished analysis in support of CSP’s strategy and transaction advisory practices. The ideal candidate will bring relevant subject matter knowledge and experience, a strong multidisciplinary analytic approach to research and problem solving, and the ability to be productive in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Candidates *must* possess the following:
- advanced knowledge of the aerospace, defense, and/or Federal technology services markets
- ability to manage strategic consulting engagements entailing complex analytical requirements
- demonstrated track record of professional and academic achievement
- ability to work both individually and in a small team to meet the strictest of deadlines
- experience managing complex analytical assignments
- advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
- advanced Internet research skills
- ability to communicate effectively in all forms

Preferred candidates will also possess:
- relevant graduate degree from a top-tier institution
- advanced understanding of Federal programmatic and budgeting processes
- advanced understanding of M&A dynamics and industry consolidation trends
- in-depth experience with transaction advisory (due diligence) activity
- advanced Excel skills as applied to financial forecast and valuation analysis
- FIVE or more years of relevant experience in
+ management consulting,
+ intelligence community,
+ investment banking,
+ private equity, or
+ aerospace/defense corporate strategy

Key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- management of strategy and diligence engagements, including analytical oversight and client management, as well as hands-on development of relevant exhibits and financial models
- development of strategic/policy analysis as it pertains to the outlook for the defense sector overall, as well as industry sub-segments and individual companies
- integration and analysis of disparate financial datasets to develop detailed, transparent revenue and earnings models for target companies

Senior Associate

This position is an integral element of the Cambridge, Massachusetts professional staff, responsible for the development and production of finished analysis in support of CSP’s strategy and transaction advisory practices. The ideal candidate will bring relevant subject matter knowledge and experience, a strong, multidisciplinary analytical approach to research and problem solving, and the ability to be productive in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Candidates *must* possess the following:
- 2-5 years of related work experience
- graduate degree in relevant domain (MBA, International Relations, Security Studies) from a top-tier institution
- significant knowledge of the aerospace, defense, and/or Federal technology services markets
- demonstrated track record of professional and academic achievement
- ability to work both individually and in a small team to meet strict deadlines
- ability to execute rapidly multiple tasks with significant attention to detail
- experience managing complex analytical assignments
- moderate to advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
- advanced Internet research skills
- ability to communicate effectively in all forms

- preparation of sector-level competitive analyses
- preparation of detailed company overviews (including both financial and strategic analysis)
- integration and analysis of disparate financial datasets to develop detailed, transparent revenue and earnings models for target companies
