SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dr. Brad Meslin is a founder of CSP, heads the firm’s strategic and transaction advisory practices, and manages CSP’s private equity co-investment affiliate, CSP Equity Partners. He has served on the Boards of Directors of several client portfolio companies, including CMC Electronics, Inc., Sentient Jet, Berkshire Manufactured Products, Primus Aerospace, and Spacehab, Inc. Dr. Meslin was a co-founder of Spacehab, the first privately-financed commercial space habitat, which flew 22 missions aboard the U.S. Space Shuttle fleet, and also served as acting CEO of eBizJets, Inc., the predecessor of Sentient Jet, which is the largest U.S. business aviation charter provider. Dr. Meslin holds graduate degrees from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (M.A.L.D., Ph.D.), and York University, Toronto (B.A. in Political Science), and serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Rob Mullins

SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR

Rob joined CSP in October 2023 to help lead the firm’s strategic and transaction advisory practices, after a 22+ year career in the global aerospace and defense industry. Rob served most recently as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development for Lockheed Martin Corporation. Earlier, he served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and M&A at Cobham plc in the United Kingdom, as well as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy at Alliant Techsystems (ATK). As an elected officer and direct report to five CEOs, Rob is skilled at leading management teams and boards of directors through periods of strategic change, culminating in actionable M&A strategies and successful deal execution, to include acquisitions, divestitures and other forms of strategic transactions. He began his career in the defense industry on the Corporate Strategy & Technology staff at Northrop Grumman Corporation.

Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in Government from Franklin & Marshall College, a master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and a doctorate from King’s College, University of London.

Eric Chase

SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR

Eric leads the defense, intelligence, security and government services practice at the firm supporting transaction due diligence and strategy engagements for private equity sponsors, corporate clients and institutional lenders active in the defense and aerospace sectors. Prior to joining CSP Associates, Eric worked at Toffler Associates where he helped form the emerging national security technology practice.

Eric's passion for aerospace & defense began nearly 20 years ago in the Marine Corps where he served in numerous command and staff roles including the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity, the Defense Attaché Service, and the newly formed Marine Innovation Unit (MIU) where he continues to serve today as the Head of Defense Engagement as a reservist in conjunction with his private sector work. Eric received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and earned a M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service and a M.S. in Business Administration from Boston University.

Marc Vaucher

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Marc leads transaction advisory engagements in the aviation components, soldier systems, homeland security and defense sectors. Prior to joining CSP, Marc was an International Credit and Country Risk Analyst for the Bank of New England in Boston, and a geophysical exploration technologist for AMOCO Oil Company. He received his M.A.L.D. from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and his B.A. from Lewis & Clark College.

Matt supports strategic and transaction advisory engagements across the aerospace and defense markets. Prior to joining CSP, Matt was an Associate with a Boston-based investment management firm and a Financial Analyst at BAE Systems. Matt holds a B.A. in Accounting from Lynchburg College and an M.S. in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Scott McKnight

Scott supports strategic and transaction advisory engagements across the aerospace, defense, intelligence, security and government services markets for private equity sponsors, corporate clients and institutional lenders. Prior to joining CSP Associates, Scott spent 8 years as a private equity investor at Odyssey Investment Partners and J.F. Lehman & Company, with a focus on aerospace, military and industrial investments. Scott began his career in investment banking and private equity consulting at MHT Partners and Dean & Company. A native of Texas, Scott received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College.

Ruby Meek

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Ruby provides support to our strategic and transaction advisory firm to ensure efficient operation of the office. As the Director of Operations, Ruby is responsible for all aspects of CSP's administrative, human resources, finance and accounting, and IT efforts. She supports directors and associates through a variety of tasks related to communication and organization and handles all of CSP's operational management and administrative-related activities. Ruby holds a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Brian Baker

DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH

Brian serves as CSP’s Director of Research, supporting strategic and transaction due diligence and advisory engagements for corporate clients, private equity sponsors and institutional lenders active in the commercial aerospace, defense and government services markets. Prior to joining CSP, Brian was an Analyst with Technology Business Research, an IT market and competitive analysis firm in Hampton, New Hampshire, where he covered large companies in the U.S. federal government technology services sector. Brian holds a B.S. in Economics from Salve Regina University.

Luke Gile

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Luke supports transaction due diligence and strategic advisory engagements for private equity and corporate clients across the aerospace, defense and government services markets. Raised around aerospace with several pilots in the family, his early passion for aviation inspired his choice to pursue a career in aerospace and defense. Since beginning his career, Luke has supported dozens of projects spanning commercial aerospace, business aviation, defense platforms, space and electronics. Luke is originally from Dallas, Texas and holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and International Affairs from Columbia University and Georgetown University respectively.

Sean Purdy

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Sean supports transaction due diligence and strategic advisory engagements for private equity and corporate clients across the aerospace and defense industry. With nearly 20 years of leadership experience, including stints at Oliver Wyman at L.E.K. Consulting, Sean has worked on numerous high-impact projects, advising clients on strategic initiatives across aerospace, defense, industrials, and other industries. Sean also serves as a Commanding Officer in the US Navy Reserve, where his roles have kept him engaged at the forefront of defense technology in the maritime, air, space, and cyber domains. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, a Masters in Systems Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy.

Pete Lohrer

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Pete supports transaction due diligence and strategic advisory engagements for private equity and corporate clients across the aerospace and defense industry. Prior to CSP, Pete gained expertise in commercial aerospace working in Oliver Wyman’s Aerospace and Defense consulting practice for several years and also as an investment associate at AAR, where he focused on aircraft sales and leasing as part of a joint venture with Napier Park. He also previously covered the commercial aviation sector while at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and worked as an investment consultant at BNY Mellon.

Pete is currently based in Newport, RI and holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics & Mathematics from Providence College. In his free time, he enjoys flying and is an instrument-rated pilot.

Prior to joining CSP, Nate was a consultant within the private equity practice at Stax Inc., where he focused on M&A, growth strategy and operational improvement initiatives across multiple industries. Previously, he worked in finance at Lockheed Martin. Nate holds a B.A in Economics from the University of Southern California.

Prior to joining CSP, Ryan was an Associate at Wolf Den Associates providing transaction advisory and strategic consulting services to corporate and financial clients across the federal market. He previously worked as a member of the Raymond James Defense and Government Services Investment Banking team. Ryan holds a B.B.A. from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Prior to joining CSP, Kevin was a consultant at AeroDynamic Advisory, a boutique aerospace consulting firm specializing in strategy and transaction advisory services. Previously, he worked at GE Aviation in their leadership development program. Kevin holds both a B.S.E. and M.S.E. from the University of Michigan College of Engineering.

Previously, he worked in Strategy and Analysis at Collins Aerospace. Mike holds a B.A. in Political Science from Cornell University.

Prior to joining CSP Associates, Stephen was an Analyst at Renaissance Strategic Advisors where he provided transaction advisory and strategic consulting services with a focus on the technology, space and defense sectors. Stephen holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Physics from George Washington University.

Prior to joining CSP, Declan was a management consultant at Alton Aviation Consultancy, providing strategy consulting and M&A advisory services across various commercial aviation segments. He also previously held roles at Fidelity Investments. Declan earned his B.B.A. with Distinction from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada.

Tyler Howington

Tyler supports strategic and transactions advisory engagements across all verticals. Prior to joining CSP, Tyler was an investment banker at KippsDeSanto & Co.— a Washington D.C. area-based investment bank and wholly owned subsidiary of Capital One — where he focused on providing comprehensive transaction advisory services, including M&A, financing, and strategic consulting to growth-oriented aerospace, defense, government technology solutions and enterprise technology firms. Tyler graduated cum laude from Appalachian State University with a B.S.B.A. in Finance & Banking and holds a Master of Science in Finance from American University in Washington D.C.

Annan Lu

ASSOCIATE

Annan supports strategic and transaction advisory engagements across the commercial, aerospace and defense markets. Prior to joining CSP, Annan worked as a member of Capital One's Investment Banking team (KippsDeSanto & Co.), where he focused on providing comprehensive transaction advisory services, including M&A, financing and strategic consulting to firms primarily in the Aerospace, Defense and Government Technology industry. Annan earned a B.A. in Economics from the College of William and Mary.

Mark Oderman

SENIOR ADVISOR

Mark is a co-founder of CSP, leads the firm’s space and telecom practice, and has managed several hundred engagements across a range of client/market areas, including communications, engineering services, C4ISR, space and ground systems, defense microelectronics, and GIS software and services. Mark holds an M.A.L.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a B.A. from Pomona College.

Logan Slone

SENIOR ADVISOR

Logan leads strategy and transaction advisory engagements for both corporate and financial clients, leveraging deep industry experience in aerospace, defense and security analysis, across U.S. and global markets. Prior to joining CSP Associates, Logan was a project director at Avascent, where he specialized in defense electronics engagements and helped a variety of clients create value and solve challenging problems. Logan also led the Rockwell Collins Corporate Strategy team and played a central role in the largest transaction in A&D history as Rockwell Collins merged with UTC Aerospace Systems to form Collins Aerospace. His other experience at Collins included leading the strategy team within Rockwell Collins Government Systems, and managing finance, engineering, and operations for company’s secure navigation business. Logan also spent several years as a management consultant with The Cohen Group in Washington, D.C. Logan holds an M.A., with honors, in Security Studies from Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, as well as a B.A., cum laude, in Political Science (International Affairs) from Columbia University in New York City.

Scott Goldstein

SENIOR ADVISOR

Scott is a Senior Advisor at CSP. He is currently a Senior Vice President at Parsons Corporation, where he works on strategic initiatives across the firm’s defense and intelligence sector. Scott began his military career in the U.S. Army where he was the honor graduate of Officer Candidate School and branch-qualified Infantry and Signal before transferring to the U.S. Air Force, where he retired as a Major General. In the Air Force, he earned 15 Air Force Scientific Achievement Awards, led space, cyber, and acquisition organizations, and served on the staff at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, and the Air Force Secretariat.

Scott’s industry experience includes leading technology organizations ranging from VC-backed startups to Fortune 500 companies, in addition to serving on numerous boards. He has gained experience working as Anduril’s Chief Scientist, SAIC’s VP of Engineering, Integration & Logistics, and ENSCO’s Chief Strategy & Technology Officer. He also has held leadership roles at Dynetics, QinetiQ North America, and ManTech. Scott holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, five U.S. patents, and has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles. He is an IEEE Fellow, a Fellow of the Washington Academy of Sciences, a member of the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society’s Board of Governors, a member of the AFCEA Technology Committee, the AFCEA Intelligence Committee, and a member of the Army Science Board.
